THE FOUNDER
BARE was founded by Damla — shaped by a fascination with movement, discipline and precision.
Her movement journey began with Qigong and Tai Chi, drawn to its martial roots and the connection between body and mind. The practice taught her to work with intention — staying present, sharpening awareness and developing control through repetition and discipline.
Pilates entered that practice with a specific purpose: to deepen her physical control.
In 2024, Damla competed at the European Health Qigong Championship in Vienna, where she received two bronze medals.
As her Pilates practice developed, so did her interest in the mechanics behind movement: alignment, muscular connection, sequencing, load, control and the subtle adjustments that change an exercise completely.
This is what informs her teaching today — not simply whether a movement is performed, but how it is organized, where the work is initiated, how the body responds, and what can be refined.
BARE is the result of that approach: a practice built around precision, physical intelligence and measurable progression.
